Everything You Need to Know About TimeMarkerGps
Clear answers to the most common questions about getting started, managing your team, configuring settings, and getting the most from your TimeMarkerGps subscription.
Team Workspace
On mobile: Open the app, tap the Teamspace bar at the top of the camera screen, then tap the members icon to generate and share an invite link. New members join the workspace instantly once they accept.
On web: Go to Settings → Members & Access, click Add Member, and copy the generated link. Admins receive a confirmation email when the invitation is accepted.
All role assignments, project permissions, and photo access settings are managed from the web portal. Sign in to Teamspace on a browser, navigate to the Members section under Settings, and adjust each member's access level from there.
Yes. In the web portal, open Settings and go to Members. Select the team member you want to restrict, then configure which projects they can view or contribute to. Changes take effect immediately.
One payment method covers the entire team — individual members do not need to enter card details. For monthly subscriptions, charges are based on the number of active seats. The workspace admin controls the subscription and receives all billing correspondence.
Charges are calculated on a prorated basis. If a team member joins or is removed partway through a billing period, they are charged only for the days they were active — not the full month. This is why the invoice total may differ from a simple per-seat calculation.
Invoices are processed through Stripe. When your team size changes mid-cycle, Stripe issues a credit for unused days on the previous plan and then applies a new charge for the updated configuration. Both entries appear as separate line items on the invoice.
Video is converted to photo-equivalent credits at a rate of one credit per ten seconds of footage. A one-minute video consumes six photo credits. This applies to all video files saved to Teamspace regardless of resolution.
Recipient access can depend on the current sharing method, workspace settings, and plan. Create a test share, open it in a signed-out browser, and confirm read, download, expiration, and revocation behavior before using it with a client.
Camera, Watermarks and Templates
Tap anywhere on the live camera view to bring up the exposure control, then slide it up to increase brightness or down to reduce it. In dark environments, switch on the flash using the icon in the top-left corner of the camera screen.
Open the top-left menu, tap Settings, then select Photo Quality. Choose the resolution that suits your storage needs and use case.
Access the timer option through the top-left menu. Select your preferred delay before the shutter fires. Please note that the timer is available for still photos only — it does not apply to video recording.
Tap directly on the watermark overlay on the camera screen to enter the editor. You can also reach it via the Templates button in the lower-right corner, or by tapping the pencil icon if visible.
TimeMarkerGps applies the selected watermark during capture. Confirm the current app workflow before a project begins if you need to add or change overlays later; a watermark by itself does not establish legal acceptance or prove that a file has not been modified.
Enter the watermark editor and locate the Logo field. Tap the + icon next to it, then choose to upload a saved image, search online, or use AI generation to create one. Tap Done when finished to apply it to your template.
Tap the Templates button in the lower-right corner of the camera screen to browse the built-in library. For more options, open the Explore section within the template menu to discover templates organised by industry and shared by other users.
Timestamp and location display options depend on the selected template and current app settings. Review the available controls before capture and confirm which fields your project requires. Displaying a timestamp or location does not by itself determine legal validity.
Inside the app, tap anywhere on the watermark overlay to enter edit mode. From the Edit Template screen, tap the Share icon in the top-right corner and choose your preferred distribution method. Templates shared publicly become available to the full TimeMarkerGps community for reuse.
Not at this time. Templates must be created and edited within the mobile app. The web portal allows you to view and use existing templates, but the editor is only available on mobile.
Common Issues and Fixes
This is usually caused by outdated browser cache or corrupted cookies. Clear your browser's cookies and cached data, then reload the portal. If the problem continues, try accessing Teamspace from a different browser or an incognito tab.
Confirm connectivity, reopen the app, and review whether the records are shown as pending or failed. Check mobile-data and background permissions, then test with one new record. If the issue continues, preserve the local files and contact support with the app version, device model, and error details.
Location tagging pulls from the device's current GPS position and maps it to the nearest recognised address. To use a different nearby address, tap the location icon in the lower-right corner of the capture screen and select from the available options.
Work through these checks in order:
- Confirm that storage permissions are enabled for TimeMarkerGps in your device settings.
- Verify there is adequate free space on the device.
- Check your Recently Deleted album in case the photo was removed accidentally.
- Shorten any unusually long filename text if the save is failing silently.
- Note that the in-app Preview gallery shows only recent photos — older images live in your device album directly.
If the issue persists after all checks, contact support at [email protected].
Reviewing Photo Records
Two methods are available. On mobile: tap the Verify Photos button at the top of the screen, then upload the photo or enter its Photo Code. Alternatively, open the top-left menu, go to Verification Center, and submit the photo or code there. Both methods cross-check the image against its original embedded metadata.
Photo-code lookup applies to supported photos created through a TimeMarkerGps workflow with the Photo Code feature enabled. Enter the code to retrieve the associated stored image and available record details. The lookup does not independently prove origin or determine whether the image has been modified.
Depending on the capture workflow and device settings, a supported record can include:
- Stored date and time — the available time fields associated with the record.
- GPS context — available latitude, longitude, and accuracy fields supplied by the device.
- Visible overlay — selected date, time, location, project, or contributor details rendered on the image.
- Photo Code — an identifier used to retrieve the associated stored record.
Review these fields with the wider project documentation. They do not independently validate device time, GPS accuracy, image modification, or acceptance by a third party.
Open the watermark editor, go to the Coordinates section, scroll to More Options, and switch on the Accuracy toggle. The location accuracy reading will then appear as part of the watermark overlay.
Enter the watermark editor and enable the overlays you need — Map, Weather, Altitude, and Compass Direction each have their own toggle. Turn on any combination that fits your documentation requirements.
Generating and Exporting Reports
Open the current reporting area and review the available output types, selectable photos, fields, and delivery controls. Run a small test and inspect the resulting file before committing to a client workflow.
Review the output types available in your current app or web workspace. Generate a sample with a few photos and verify layout, image quality, metadata, branding, links, and recipient access.
Bulk-download behavior can vary by platform and plan. Test a small selection in the current mobile app and web workspace, then confirm file packaging, original quality, metadata retention, and download limits.
Check which mapping or location-data outputs are available in the current product. Test a small project and confirm coordinate accuracy, file compatibility, photo links, and behavior in the mapping software required by your team.
Field selection depends on the report type and current version. Open the report settings, review the available columns or fields, and generate a sample to confirm that required project data is included.
Cloud Storage and App Integrations
This option is available on the Pro and Business plans. Open the top-left menu, go to Settings, and enable Keep Original Photo. After that, every capture will save two versions: the unmodified original and the watermarked copy.
No — if cloud backup was active when the photo was taken, the copy in Teamspace or cloud storage remains intact even if you delete the local version from your device album. To ensure all photos are backed up, enable cloud sync in Files before shooting.
SD card saving is available for Pro and Business users on compatible devices. Open the Files section from the bottom navigation and look for the option to change the file save path to your SD card.
Cloud auto-save requires a Pro or Business plan. Tap Files in the bottom navigation bar, sign into your OneDrive or Google Drive account, and enable automatic saving. Photos will sync to your chosen cloud storage after each capture.
Yes. Native integrations are available for Google Drive, OneDrive, and SharePoint out of the box. For connections to other platforms — such as project management tools or CRM systems — TimeMarkerGps supports webhooks, allowing you to build custom integrations with any service that accepts incoming data.
